Knitting Zen

Bad: I sliced a piece of my left-hand index finger off with the bread knife yesterday morning. It's not too bad, not bad enough to need stitches or anything, but it hurts, and it's in a bad place for both knitting and typing.

Good: Someone wrote and told me that KnitPicks had one color ("grasshopper") of the Classic Elite Lush angora on special for $3.98/skein, if I was still interested in it. I had seen that special a few weeks ago, but when I tried to order it, they were out of stock and I assumed they wouldn't have any more at that price.

But I checked, and it's back in stock, so I ordered four skeins, which came to almost exactly what I paid for the other yarn. So I can take that back and get some more Chinchilla . . .
