After knitting seven Chinchilla scarves in a row, I'm taking a break and have gone back to knitting the wool Seaman's Scarf. When I stopped working on it and started on the Chinchilla scarves, I was sick of it, but now I'm enjoying the precision of the stitches--a tighter gauge, and actually seeing the stitches that I'm creating. And counting--I'm doing a basketweave stitch in groups of four stitches and four rows, so I know immediately if I drop a stitch, although I don't, because I can see what I'm doing. Kind of a refreshing change. If I'm sick of it again by the time I finish it, I've got four or five more Chinchilla ones to do, but if I'm still enjoying it, I'll start another Seaman's in light grey Wool Ease.
