When I went to The Studio--my new local yarn shop--last week, I saw some clear knitting bags, and I kept thinking about them, so I went back yesterday and bought one:
I really love it. It's made of heavy clear plastic with a zipper top, and is the perfect size for a sock project. I've got two balls of Fortissima, needles, the sock in progress, plus a pair of folding scissors, a row counter, a tape measure, a crochet hook, and a couple of tapestry needles inside. Oh, and a pad of Post-It notes and a pen to write down what I'm doing so I can make the second one the same as the first.
The current sock is from Fortissima Colori Denim.
I'm making it shorter than the other pair (the purple ones that I finished except for grafting the toe), and I'm using a half size smaller needle--1-1/2 (2.5mm). I think I just like the fact that it's a "1/2."
I only bought two balls of sock yarn yesterday--some black and white Regia Cotton. I was telling someone the other day that I'd counted up, and at my current rate of knitting, I already have enough sock yarn to last me about six months. I looked at the stock pretty thoroughly yesterday and they didn't have anything I couldn't live without, so I think I'm okay for awhile.
