Friday, May 23, 2003:

After writing how much the radiology technician loved the colors in the sock I'm working on now, I remembered that last night Bob commented that he thought they were awful--"butt ugly" was, I believe, the exact comment--and that he liked them the least of any that I have made so far.

Last week someone blogged that they had seen the preview of the Summer "Knitter's" magazine and hated everything in it, while I saw several designs that I absolutely loved. Someone else wrote about the Spring Interweave Knits and said, "why did we need to have a story about knitting camp?" I loved that article, thought it was the best thing in the magazine.

I loved reading about the girls learning how to knit, teaching each other, and wearing their hats every day. To me, that's what knitting is all about!

It just reminds me that there is something for everyone, that not everyone likes the same things, and that there are lots of different people in the world, each one of them with their own thoughts and opinions, each one different.
