I bought the yarn for Dinah's catnip mouse: Furlana, a wool/possum fur blend! How weird is that? It's very soft, in fact too soft for cables, I think--the center cable came out kind of flat, with very little definition. The Fisherman's Wool was much more . . . crunchy, maybe. More body. I don't really care, of course, since this is for a cat toy that took me maybe a half hour to knit . . . I was knitting it last night at about midnight, with Dinah on my lap, practically in the dark, and I kept thinking, you know, I should rip this out and start over, because I think I made a couple of mistakes in the pattern, but then I thought, "This is for a cat toy, how long do you think it's going to be presentable, anyway?"
I chose the olive color. Well, chose isn't really true--it was the only color on the clearance table.
