Thursday, June 19, 2003:

I finally finished the Trekking XXL socks--they took me a month to finish! That's the longest I've ever taken for a pair of socks, I think. Of course, I did the Suki in between, but really, I kept dragging those socks back and forth with me to work, and did very little work on them.

I spent some time last night organizing my knitting bags, and put some Lush Angora into my big, regular bag to maybe start on the Hot Water Bottle Cover when I finish the felted bag I'm working on now. And I went through my sock yarn stash and picked out the next pair--Opal Brasil in the much-coveted 5001--bright carnival colors on a ground of white--blue, yellow, green, purple and pink! They should be fun to knit.

Yesterday I ordered enough Cascade 220 (on sale again at Knitpicks) to make two more bags. I'm kind of considering the first two as experiments, just to figure out what I was doing; I ordered a heathered "Autumn" color mix, and the other one will be Cascade 220 Quatro in "Teal," a, well, teal with a light beige yarn plied to it. Should be interesting, anyway.
