Wednesday, August 27, 2003:

I got a Herrschners catalog the other night. I love looking at patterns in catalogs, but find it really difficult to get interested in looking at yarn--it seems so hard to see it like it really is. So I held off on buying any yarn, but I did order two patterns, one for a Cardigan and one for a vest by Oat Couture, whose patterns I love in general, they're so basic and normal.

The cardigan is made in a chunky yarn that I wasn't too sure about, looking at it in the catalog, so I'll play around with other yarns once I get the pattern. The vest is made in worsted weight, so there should be lots of choices for that.
