I have spent the ENTIRE weekend (very little exaggeration--I left today to go to the grocery store and went out and grabbed some lunch and went to the library yesterday) trying to get a new CD burner to work, with no success. I've decided to stop for the night, before I go completely insane.
I just went and ordered a "knittable samples" subscription at elann.com after getting an order from them of some absolutely wonderful ribbon yarn--Valeria di Roma Calella--and realizing that I never remember to go check their website on any kind of regular basis. This way I'll get both their wonderful newsletter, plus enough samples to actually see what the yarns look like. And they give you back the subscription price in vouchers, so as long as you keep ordering yarn, it really doesn't cost anything, and there's really no question about that, is there?
