Sunday, September 21, 2003:

I hadn't been to Hobby Lobby in a long time, but I went there yesterday and spent a happy hour looking at everything. I didn't buy much, just a few stickers and some Halloween cards and a zebra print eyeglass case (!), but they also had Coats & Clarks yarn on sale, so I bought a few skeins. I started the Albion vest in some C&C Fiesta--it's 100% acrylic, so I'm not sure how it will hang, but it's pretty yarn. I bought a light sage color with tiny slubs of different colors.

I figure, if nothing else, it will give me a benchmark as to size before I use the wool I bought for it originally, and if it works out, it's a vest for about $7.50.

I stayed up late on Friday night to finish something I'm knitting for a friend's birthday. I watched "The Two Towers" and knitted with Dinah in my lap. It was a nice, peaceful evening, but I got sleepy before the movie was over and before I finished the knitting, so I gave up and went to bed, and finished up (both the movie and the knitting) yesterday.

The gift is in the mail now, so once she has it, I can post a picture.
