I specifically decided not to try to match the stripes, but in retrospect, I probably should have, particularly since they came out close enough that it looks like I might have tried, yet failed miserably.

The color repeats were just so far apart that I would have wasted half the ball of yarn, and still might not have gotten it right, unless I had wound it off in the first place and measured it, and we all know that's not going to happen. She liked them anyway. :)
