To keep track:

Black chinchilla scarf
Seaman's scarf in Lush angora, color "Grasshopper"
Seaman's scarf in a brown and cream multistrand wool (Terra?)
Trekking XXL socks - one and one-half finished
Opal Wristers

They're all (except for the socks) gifts. I work on the scarves until I get bored, then switch to another one. I'll finish the socks eventually, I just got burned out on socks, I think.

The wristers (pattern in the left-hand column, I think) stalled because the thumb gusset wasn't looking quite like I thought it should, and also because the needles I was using, US Size 2 Brittany birch 7-1/2 inch doublepoints, are too long, and I was waiting for new 5 inch ones to arrive in the mail.

I had called a local yarn store to check before I mailordered them, but they didn't have any, and she even (albeit diplomatically) tried to convince me that they didn't actually exist. Or, no, I guess it wasn't the Size 2 ones, it was the 1-1/2s. I ordered both and ended up using the Size 2s.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny. I said that I already had 7-1/2" 1-1/2s, I was holding them and looking at them, and I was looking at a webpage that professed to be selling the 5" ones, so I was pretty sure they existed. She said she had Crystal Palace ones, which are okay, but they're more expensive, and I don't like them quite as well as the Brittany ones.

She did say to check the actual millimeter size, which is a good point. Not all brands use the same sizing method.
