I was looking forward to the Interweave Knits Winter issue after seeing the cover--I really want to make that sweater! If I remember correctly without looking, it's knit in four pieces, a piece being like the front of a sleeve and half of a front, then seamed down the arms and down the middle of the front and middle of the back. Slightly weird, yes, but sounds fairly easy, and I like the way it looks.
They call it a "dolman;" I don't actually remember what that means, really. No sleeve seams? I know I don't look good in raglans--I think my shoulders are too narrow--and I'm not all that excited about setting in knitted sleeves. I think drop shoulders look okay on me . . . huh. Just looked at the sweater I'm wearing, and it has raglan sleeves, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about it. It looks okay on me. It's one that I totally forgot I had, and found in the closet this morning. Since I've lost weight, I've found TONS of clothes that I haven't worn for years. Of course, they're all probably WAY out of date . . .
I ordered more Araucania Nature Wool from Elann to make the dolman sweater, this time in "Oatmeal." I've ordered so much of that wool that I've embarrassed to say. Suffice to say that I'm very close to my $50 free certificate. Yikes.
