I'm going in for surgery on Monday, and while I've read about other women "nesting," i.e., cleaning the house, stockpiling food, etc., my nesting apparently takes the form of updating my websites . . .
I started updating the "Projects" section on the left, and realized that I never took pictures of any of the stuff that I made for Christmas presents. I made another Suki bag for my friend Misty, and I made about a dozen scarves. The scarves were mostly Chinchilla, so not a lot of variety, but I did make a cool one out of Beatrice for my niece Mallory, and her sister Emily got one made from Lion Brand Homespun, both with long fringe.
Oh well. I also realized that I haven't photographed any of my socks lately, and I have several new pair. I don't suppose it matters so much, but I do like to have a record of the things I make. It helps to keep me motivated.
I keep track of them in my Visor, though. I religiously record all the yarn I buy, and I keep track when I use it, and put down any projects that I'm working on, so at least I do have that record.
One thing I need to do this week, I think, is gather up enough yarn and needles and patterns for a couple of projects and have them either upstairs in the bedroom or on the main floor, i.e., bring stuff up from the basement, because I'm not going to be able to navigate the basement stairs for at least a few days, and I've already envisioned sending Bob to the basement with detailed instructions about which yarn I want out of which Rubbermaid bin, and what size needles I want . . . Not gonna happen. He's patient, but not that patient.
