I read somewhere that Brittany was going to stop making size 0 and 1 birch needles because they break too easily. I can understand that, but I'm pretty careful with mine, and I've only ever broken one. They're my favorites, though, and I can't imagine knitting socks without them, so I made a trip today to The Studio, one of the very few knitting shops in the area, and bought two sets of 5" Size 1's.
