Sunday, April 04, 2004:

My Elann $50 rebate certificate was burning a hole in my pocket, so I ordered a bunch of Araucania Nature Cotton in apricot. I really wanted the antique pink, but I procrastinated too long and they ran out of it. The apricot's probably a better color for me anyway, but lately I've been very drawn to pinks.

I also wanted some of this cotton ribbon, but the only color I wanted was the pale blue--Morning Glory--but they're out of it.

My theory is that people tend to buy the color that the model is knit in--the Nature Cotton example is knit in the pink and the cotton ribbon model is knit in blue and white. And who knows? Maybe that's why those particular colors in those particular yarns appeal to me, too. I'm such a sheep. :)
