I finished one kitty blanket using Bernat Denim Style in indigo, and I thought, hey, this stuff isn't bad! It's really soft, and kind of cushy--I knit the blanket in plain old garter stitch. The yarn is acrylic and cotton, so machine washable.
And it's $2.49 a ball at Michael's . . .
I started thinking, and I remembered this pattern:
The Denim Style is marked as a worsted weight, and the Stylecraft Safari yarn that the cardigan specifies says it's a chunky weight, but I swatched (I swatched!) and got almost exact gauge, so I'm making this sweater in Denim Style in a color called Weathered Rose. So I'm back to pink. I've finished one of the fronts; it took me awhile to figure out the raglan shaping, but I finally wrote it all down, row by row, and now it makes sense.
