I cast on for the second sleeve of the pink sweater last night. I finished the first one on the road to Lawrence Wednesday night (no, I wasn't driving)--we saw Nickel Creek at the Grand Emporium, and it was wonderful!
I think the sleeve, which I made exactly by the pattern, might be too long, but I haven't actually measured it yet. I also think I lost my way a little bit and forgot a decrease, because I ended up with an even number of stitches at the end rather than an odd. My plan is to pay more attention to this one, and actually keep track (another thing that happened was that I was using one of the little red Kacha counters to keep track of rows, and when I took it out of my bag I knew the count wasn't right--it must have either gotten pressed, or one of the little wheels got moved in my bag), and maybe make it shorter, then rip out the first one and do it again.
Stephanie wrote in the comments below that she was considering buying some of the Denim Style. I really can't recommend it enough, although I haven't actually finished the sweater, and so haven't washed or worn it.
I stopped by Michael's last night on my way home and bought enough on the "Indigo" colorway (seven skeins, which is probably too many, but all they had in the dye lot, so I thought I'd better get them) for this, from Rebecca:
It came to less than $20. Can't beat it.
