Testing Blogger's new "Comments" capability. Apparently new posts will have comments enabled, but old posts won't.

I got tired of working on the Rebecca cardigan -- miles of garter stitch -- and started Amy's Instant Poncho (miles of stockinette, but on big needles and with interesting yarn) last night. I also started a pair of short socks in Fixation. Fixation is very weird to work with, I think, being so stretchy, but it's forgiving, which I like.

And another test comment.

how cool! willa, do let me know if you find anything screwy. it's simple as pie and goes really quickly, though. if i hadn't had a book to finish, it would have been done in 4 days.

yes, i'm obsessive. :-)

I'm a bit obsessive, too. :) I'm almost through the second hank, and I just started it last night. I'm really enjoying working with the Nature Cotton--I wasn't sure I would, but I do. It's nice and soft, and I like that it's thick-and-thin.

WAIT till you see how soft it is after you wash it. this stuff converted Jenna (an avowed cottonphobe) into wanting some....and then wanting more. a few pills are a fair price to pay for such softness. :-)

When I got it, it reminded me of the old Aunt Lydia's rug yarn I used to buy in the 70's. I'm assuming it shrinks up a little when you wash it and the stitches close up some? Yours looks *much* neater than mine!

it wasn't that loose to begin with, but it does tighten/neaten up after washing, yes.
