When I was out Christmas shopping last weekend, I ran across these miniature Hallmark ornaments, and it suddenly struck me that they would make cool stitch markers. And they do! They're kind of heavy, though. But it made me want to make more, so I went to Hobby Lobby last night and bought rings and charms and beads, oh my! How fun. I've always admired the beaded stitch markers, but thought they were sort of unnecessary and silly. They still are, of course, both unnecessary and silly, but I now have stitch markers with pink ribbon charms, turtles, Christmas ornaments and little pewter tags that say "WISH." Pictures to come.

Willa, I made some of those cute, neat stitch markers back in the summer. You can see them on my knittnig blog knitterandpurler.blogspot.com. If you can't find them in my previous posts, I will send a picture to you. They came out great and they are fun to use.

I don't make beaded stitch markers, but I realize that wine charms can be beautiful stitch markers.
