I looked at For the Love of Knitting a couple of weeks ago in the bookstore, and loved it so much that I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon. Well, I wouldn't have, it was so expensive, but Amazon had it for almost $10.00 less than the regular price, so I didn't see how I could resist. It's a beautiful book. I especially loved the reproductions of old ads (1950's and 60's) for knitting materials. No patterns, just photographs and essays, but then, I love reading about knitting almost as much as I love the knitting itself.

Oh, that's a good idea! I'd forgotten about that book. I've seen it, but never really looked inside it. Thanks for the suggestion.
