Sunday, January 16, 2005:

I think I mentioned that I've been knitting the Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf pattern. My friend Sharon in Tennessee wrote and asked me a question about it, and prompted me to get out the camera and take some pictures. This is the first one I made:

I used two skeins of Noro Silk Garden. I made the second one a little narrower, and also used two skeins:

I started a third one last weekend. I'm currently in a pink phase, and boy, is this yarn pink!

And might as well include an outtake:

Willa, your scarves are just beautiful! I'm so glad that you took pictures. Now I'm really excited about making mine. :)

Hello, greetings from Germany. Your scarves are marvellous! I still have 2 skeins of silk garden laying around. They were a present. This scarf will be a good idea. How many stitches do you cast on? I will be glad about a short answer. Best regards Maren Rehpenning

PS: My adress mr@asfc.de

I neglected to say that I'm using US Size 8 needles. On the first scarf, I started the shortrowing when I had 30 stitches on the needle, but I thought it was slightly too wide, so on the next ones, I started the shortrowing at 24 stitches.

Wow your scarves are awesome. Colors are wonderful.
