I decided the Mini Sweater that I made in Silk Garden was really too small and I would probably never wear it, so I decided to rip it and try again, since I didn't want to just put it away and waste the yarn. Bob came in while I was ripping and rolling the yarn into balls, and he said, "That's a good idea!" I said, "What? Ripping it out?" and he said he hadn't realized that was what I was doing--I'm not sure what he thought I was doing, but he asked me if I was going to re-use the yarn, and I said I was, that the sweater was too small, so I was going to try again.
He said, "You mean you can knit it, then if it doesn't work out you can re-use the yarn and knit something else?" I told him that was the idea, and he said he thought that was really cool. It is, isn't it? Would that more things in life were that way.
